A posted release today from the band, Foo Fighters, has confirmed the sad news of the passing of their beloved drummer, Taylor Hawkins. The band was on tour in Bogaota, Colombia at the time.
Having been a part of the Foos since 1997, he recorded 8 studio albums with them. Prior to joining the band he had also worked with Alanis Morriette and Sass Jordan and, in 2004, he released 3 albums with his side project, Taylor Hawkins and the Coattail Riders. He also had a very successful cover band, Chevy Metal.
At this date Taylor was eagerly awaiting the release of the only album recorded with supergroup, NHC, that was formed with Jane's Addiction members, Dave Navarro and Chris Chaney in 2021.

Today the internet and news outlets are buzzing with condolences his ability and the band as Dave Grohl has lost a best friend and, the world, a talented musician.
It is unknown at this time what the fate of the current tour will be as the band is, understandably, reeling from this unexpected and devastating loss to their musical family.
On a local note for Central Florida, the biggest rock festival, Welcome to Rockville, has the Foo Fighters slated to headline the last day, Sunday, of the festival which takes place May 19th- 22nd, 2022. Any changes to this are, as yet, also unknown.
